Just my thoughts after the game. No engine analysis or expert comment!} c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.c3 Nf6 5.Qc2 Nc6 6.cxd4 e6 7.Bb5 Bd7 8.O-O Rc8 9.Qe2 a6 10.Ba4 Be7 11.Nc3 b5 12.Bb3 {So far, all seemed pretty equal, but this gets me into trouble a bit later. I think Bc2 is better.} O-O 13.Rd1 b4 14.Na4 Na5 {makes it uncomfortable for White.} 15.Bg5 Bb5! {Looks all pretty good for Black.} 16.Qe1 {with the idea to attack b4. White feels under pressure.} Nxb3 17.axb3 Rc2! {and here it comes. At this point I thought Black was clearly better.} 18.d5 {hoping that this centre counter will lead to exchanges.} e5 {not sure if that's best. It makes a possible Qxb4 rather comfortable, as no discovered attack from the Be7 looms. I expected Re2 and that keeps Black on (see example variation).} (18...Re2 19.Qxb4 Rxe4) 19.Qxb4 {White felt better after this!} Be2 20.Rdc1 Rxc1+ 21.Rxc1 a5 22.Qb6 {Queen swap?} Qd7 {not best. Why not take on f3 or Nxe4 first? This allows the rook to come in on the 7th nicely. But Black's next move shows that he saw an awesome combination, that however had one flaw.} 23.Rc7 Rc8? {Yes, the losing move and therefore must get a questionmark. But VERY NICE IDEA: Queen sac for baseline attack! Got me very worried that I overlooked something, but turned out Black probably missed that Bg5 covers everything right now. White had expected} (23...Qg4 24.h3 {holds it all together (just).} Qh5) 24.Rxd7 Nxd7 25.Qxa5 {covers the baseline now at e1, too.} Bxg5 {Too late, although there is still no good way to open an escape for the King. After h3 or h4, Bf4 plugs it immediately. g3 drops the knight. Luckily, there is one move to stop it all.} 26.Nc3 {White's feeling: Phew!} Bd2? 27.Nxd2 Rc5 28.Qd8+ Nf8 29.Qxd6 Ra5 30.Nxe2 Ra1+ 31.Nf1 Re1 32.Nc3 h6 33.Qxe5 Ng6 34.Qe8+ Kh7 35.d6 Nf4 36.d7 Ne6 37.Qxf7 Nd8 38.Qf8 Ne6 39.Qf5+ g6 40.Qxe6 {#r}
