My thoughts during and immediately after the game. No expert or engine analysis!!} e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 d6 4.d4 exd4 5.Nxd4 Bd7 6.Nc3 Nf6 7.Bg5 Be7 8.Qd2 O-O 9.O-O-O Ne5 10.Bxf6 Bxf6 11.Bb3 Qe7 12.Kb1 a6 13.Nd5 Qd8 14.f4 Nc6 15.Nf3 Ne7?! {MT: Does not seem good, as it removes the Queen cover for Bf6.} 16.e5!? {MT: Afterwards I thought this was not best. Simply KxBf6 ruins Black's castle and makes a isolated doubled f-pawns.} Nxd5 17.Qxd5 Be7 18.h4 {MT: Played with the idea Ng5. Exchanging the knight will open the h-file.} Bc6 19.Qd3 h6?! {MT: Tries perhaps to prevent Ng5, but the knight will go there anyway, because hxNg5 is not on, for after hxg5 Qh7# is difficult to parry (or maybe not at all).} 20.e6 {MT: Maybe Ng5 right away was better.} fxe6 21.Bxe6+ Kh8 22.Ng5 {MT: finally getting there.} Bxg5 23.hxg5 Rxf4 24.Qg6 {MT: To play gxh6 and discovered check with hxg6 can hardly be defended. At this stage I was very happy with my attack.} Be4! {MT: the only move, but this defends apparently everything} 25.Rxh6+ gxh6 26.Qxh6+ Bh7 27.g6 Qe7 {MT: Again probably the only move, but this should everything together.} 28.Qxf4 {MT: I did not find anything better and thought the attack is over. Not sure if after QxB, Qd4+ there is much advantage left for White. Maybe Rh1 was better. I thought Black would give back the rook with the annoying Rf1+.} Bxg6? {MT: But after tenacious defence Black slips. Opening the h-file for the rook is bad.} 29.Rh1+ Kg7 {MT: White will win the Queen by force here!} 30.Qh6+ Kf6 31.Qh4+ Kxe6 32.Re1+ Kf7 33.Rxe7+ Kg8 34.Qf6 {#r}
